Last month we had the pleasure of taking in a Rainbow Lorikeet fledging who had clearly seen better days. Initially it was suspected this poor little guy was suffering from an awful viral condition called Beak and Feather disease. Thankfully with some expert native advice we were able to determine that it was much more likely that we were dealing with lorikeet outcast who may have been attacked by his older lorikeet neighbours. This featherless cutie is now off with a native bird carer thanks to our friends at Wildlife Victoria.
