Henry is a black curly coated retriever who just loves to have fun! Recently it looks as though his energetic playfullness had got him into a little bit of a scrape... literally! His owners noticed a lesion on his chest which they suspected was a scratch from some mischievous playing with his brother 'Irving', trying to destroy their parents' garden!
It appeared to be a mild pyoderma secondary to a scratch. Pyoderma is a common inflammatory skin disease which can quite easily occur after a scratch or a graze. Henry was sent home with some surolan ointment, a suspension treatment for skin infections in dogs and cats, to treat the lesion for 5 to 7 days.
Henry returned to us for a check up and his wound was healing well. We're sure he'll be back to no good in no time!
